Rimac Guide

Founded in Croatia in 2009 by Mate Rimac, Rimac Automobili has established itself as one of the world's most technologically ambitious hypercar manufacturers. Its extraordinary rise began with experimental electric powertrains and the Concept_One, before the company developed the Nevera into one of the fastest accelerating road cars ever produced.

Now operating within the Bugatti Rimac organisation, the company combines its own battery technology, electric motors and advanced software with low-volume hypercar production. British customers are served through official retailer H.R. Owen in London, with the Nevera and more focused Nevera R representing two interpretations of Rimac's extraordinary electric performance.

The Nevera is a remarkable demonstration of just how far electric performance technology has advanced. Four independently controlled motors produce approximately 1,888bhp, with a 120kWh battery, sophisticated torque vectoring and a claimed top speed of 256mph. Despite weighing around 2,300kg, it can accelerate from 0–62mph in just 1.81 seconds, while its carbon-fibre construction and adjustable suspension aim to provide genuine grand-touring ability alongside its astonishing straight-line performance. Production is limited to 150 examples worldwide.

Rimac Nevera R (24-)

RRP From: c. £2,300,000
Pre Reg From: N/A
Used Price From: N/A

Powertrains: EV
Dimensions: Not separately confirmed
Boot: Not officially quoted

Key rivals: Czinger 21C, Ferrari F80, Koenigsegg Jesko, Lotus Evija, Pininfarina Battista

The Nevera R takes Rimac's electric hypercar technology in a more aggressive direction, sacrificing some grand-touring emphasis in pursuit of even greater cornering and circuit performance. Revised aerodynamics, a prominent fixed rear wing, improved suspension and a new 108kWh battery accompany an increase in output to approximately 2,078bhp. It can reach 62mph in just 1.72 seconds and has achieved a 267mph top speed under record conditions. Only 40 examples are planned, making it substantially more exclusive than the original Nevera.
