Ram Guide
Originally the pickup division of Dodge, Ram became a standalone brand in 2009 and has since developed into one of America's best-known truck manufacturers. Its vehicles combine traditional pickup practicality with powerful engines, substantial towing ability and, in higher specifications, levels of luxury more commonly associated with large premium SUVs.
In Britain, Ram is represented by a specialist import and dealer network, with vehicles prepared for UK roads and offered with local aftersales support. The full-size Ram 1500 forms the core of the range, available in everything from work-focused Tradesman specification to luxurious Limited and Tungsten models, alongside more extreme off-road versions.
All are considerably larger than conventional European pickups, making them particularly appealing to buyers prioritising space, towing ability and American V8 character.

The Ram 1500 is a full-size American pickup that dwarfs familiar UK models such as the Ford Ranger and Toyota Hilux. Most current versions use a 3.0-litre twin-turbocharged Hurricane straight-six producing 420hp or 540hp, paired with an eight-speed automatic gearbox and four-wheel drive. The 5.7-litre HEMI V8 has also returned for the 2026 model year, while specialist performance versions offer even greater power.
British buyers can choose between utilitarian work specifications, off-road-focused models and luxurious versions with air suspension, large infotainment screens and premium interiors. Its enormous cabin and approximately 1.7-metre load bed provide considerable versatility, although its width, fuel consumption and left-hand-drive layout make it less convenient on narrow British roads.
Specifications, dimensions and prices were correct at the time of the latest update. Recommended retail prices are official UK list prices, while pre-registered and used values are approximate UK market figures and may vary depending on specification, mileage, condition and location. Recommended retail prices include any applicable UK Government electric vehicle grant where available but exclude dealer discounts, manufacturer incentives and other retail offers.

For seven-seat vehicles, the listed boot capacity refers to space behind the third row with all seats in use unless otherwise stated.
Power outputs are quoted in bhp, with manufacturers' kW, PS or CV figures converted where necessary. Electric driving ranges use WLTP combined figures where available.
