Peugeot Van Guide
Peugeot has been a major force in the European commercial vehicle market for decades, combining practical engineering, competitive pricing and increasingly distinctive design.
Today's range stretches from the compact Partner to the versatile Expert and spacious Boxer, offering everything from small urban delivery vehicles to large panel vans capable of carrying substantial loads. Diesel and electric powertrains are available across the range, while shared Stellantis engineering, modern technology and practical interiors make Peugeot a particularly strong contender in the UK van market.

Peugeot Partner (18-, updated 24-)![]() | RRP From: c. £22,645 + VAT |
The Peugeot Partner is one of Britain's most popular compact commercial vehicles, offering an excellent balance of load capacity, manageable dimensions and everyday comfort. The current generation arrived in 2018 and received a substantial facelift for 2024, introducing Peugeot's latest styling, revised equipment and improved technology.
Two body lengths provide between 3.3 and 4.4 cubic metres of cargo capacity, depending on the configuration and availability of the Multi-Flex load-through system. Sliding side doors and a relatively square load compartment make the Partner particularly practical for delivery drivers and small businesses. Despite its compact size, selected versions can carry payloads approaching one tonne.
Today's UK range concentrates on diesel and electric powertrains. Diesel buyers can choose the economical 100bhp BlueHDi manual or a more powerful 130bhp automatic, while the fully electric E-Partner uses a 52kWh battery and 136bhp electric motor, providing up to approximately 213 miles of WLTP range.
Peugeot also offers a five-seat Crew Van, providing additional passenger accommodation while retaining a useful load compartment. The E-Partner is particularly interesting from a British manufacturing perspective, with production taking place at Stellantis' Ellesmere Port factory in Cheshire.
In 2026, the Partner became the UK's best-selling compact van. Peugeot has also confirmed that a mild-hybrid powertrain will join the range in 2027, adding another option for businesses seeking improved efficiency without going fully electric. With generous carrying capacity, competitive pricing and a comfortable driving position, the Partner remains one of the strongest all-round choices in the compact van market.
Peugeot Expert (16-, updated 24-)![]() | RRP From: £29,505 + VAT |
The current Expert arrived in 2016 and received a major update in 2024, bringing revised styling, improved technology and a more modern interior. Sharing its platform with the Fiat Scudo, the Expert is available in two current UK body lengths. Cargo capacities range from 5.3 to 6.6 cubic metres, while the Moduwork load-through system allows particularly long items to extend beneath the passenger seat.
One of the Expert's greatest advantages is its relatively low roof. At approximately 1.9 metres tall, it can access many height-restricted car parks and loading areas that would be inaccessible to larger high-roof vans. Its compact driving position and manageable exterior dimensions also make it easier to use around towns and cities.
The diesel range includes 120bhp and 150bhp options, with a more powerful 180bhp automatic available on selected versions. Meanwhile, the fully electric E-Expert offers a choice of battery capacities, including a 75kWh version providing up to 230 miles of WLTP range. Electric versions retain the same basic cargo area and can carry substantial payloads, making them particularly appealing to delivery operators and businesses with predictable daily routes.
Peugeot has also worked to make the transition to electric propulsion more accessible. In 2026, the manufacturer introduced finance arrangements allowing selected E-Expert models to be leased for similar monthly payments to their diesel counterparts. Beyond the panel van, the Expert is offered in Crew Van form, providing additional seating while retaining useful cargo capacity.
Its combination of comfort, practicality and accessible dimensions makes it one of the more versatile vehicles in the medium-sized commercial market.
Peugeot Boxer (06-, updated 24-)![]() | RRP From: £32,055 + VAT |
The Peugeot Boxer is the largest conventional van in the manufacturer's range, offering substantial carrying capacity and a particularly practical load compartment. Sharing its fundamental design with the Citroën Relay and Fiat Ducato, the Boxer is one of Europe's most established large commercial vehicles.
The current generation dates back to 2006, although extensive updates over the following two decades have brought revised styling, improved engines, automatic transmissions and increasingly sophisticated safety technology. Its familiar square body remains one of its greatest strengths, allowing businesses to make excellent use of the available exterior dimensions.
Six panel-van body configurations are available, with cargo volumes ranging from 10 to an impressive 17 cubic metres. The L4 version provides a load floor extending to 4070mm, while the H3 roof offers more than 2.1 metres of internal height. Power comes from a 2.2-litre BlueHDi diesel engine, with outputs from 140bhp to 180bhp. Manual and automatic transmissions are available, while the front-wheel-drive layout helps maintain a relatively low load floor. This makes the Boxer particularly attractive for businesses frequently loading and unloading heavy or awkward items.
The fully electric E-Boxer offers a substantial 110kWh battery and a 270bhp electric motor, with selected models capable of travelling up to 263 miles under WLTP testing conditions. The electric versions have slightly different exterior heights from their diesel counterparts, something worth considering for operators using height-restricted premises.
Remarkably, the Boxer's basic body design is now 20 years old, yet regular updates have kept it competitive with considerably newer rivals. Its enormous load area, practical front-wheel-drive layout and wide range of configurations continue to make it one of the most useful large vans on sale. For businesses prioritising space, carrying capacity and value over outright luxury, the Boxer remains an exceptionally strong contender.
