Noble Guide

Founded in 1999 by British automotive engineer Lee Noble, Noble Automotive established its reputation by building exceptionally involving sports cars that prioritised lightweight construction, handling and driver feedback over luxury or electronic assistance.

Models such as the M12 and M400 developed a devoted following, while the later M600 took the company's traditional engineering philosophy into the supercar market with a powerful twin-turbocharged V8 and remarkably few electronic driving aids.

Based in Leicestershire, Noble remains one of Britain's smallest specialist car manufacturers, hand-building its vehicles around bespoke chassis and carefully selected mechanical components. Its latest model, the M500, offers a more accessible interpretation of the M600's philosophy, combining a powerful Ford-derived V6 with a traditional manual gearbox, rear-wheel drive and lightweight construction.

The M500 is a deliberately analogue supercar, combining a mid-mounted 3.5-litre twin-turbocharged Ford EcoBoost V6 producing 541bhp with a six-speed gated manual gearbox and rear-wheel drive. Its steel spaceframe chassis is closely related to that of the previous M600, while lightweight composite bodywork and a kerb weight of approximately 1,310kg help deliver an impressive power-to-weight ratio.

Conventional double-wishbone suspension, hydraulic power steering and a limited reliance on electronic assistance place driver involvement ahead of outright technological sophistication. With a more spacious cabin, easier access and a useful front luggage compartment, the M500 is intended to be more approachable than its V8 predecessor without sacrificing Noble's distinctive driving character.

Specifications, dimensions and prices were correct at the time of the latest update. Recommended retail prices are official UK list prices, while pre-registered and used values are approximate UK market figures and may vary depending on specification, mileage, condition and location. Recommended retail prices include any applicable UK Government electric vehicle grant where available but exclude dealer discounts, manufacturer incentives and other retail offers.
