MAN / NEOPLAN Coaches

German commercial-vehicle manufacturer MAN also owns NEOPLAN, a long-established specialist in premium touring coaches. Although MAN produces a much broader selection of buses and coaches internationally, its confirmed British coach offering currently centres on the NEOPLAN Tourliner. Available in several lengths and seating configurations, the Tourliner combines distinctive European styling with MAN's heavy-duty diesel engineering and modern driver-assistance technology. British operators use it for private hire, holidays, school contracts, executive travel and long-distance passenger services, with new examples continuing to enter service in 2026.

NEOPLAN Tourliner

The Tourliner is NEOPLAN's established British-market coach, combining distinctive Sharp Cut exterior styling with comfortable passenger accommodation and proven MAN mechanical components. Available in four body configurations, ranging from a relatively manageable 12.1-metre two-axle coach to a larger 13.9-metre three-axle model, it accommodates up to 63 passengers in manufacturer specifications. British operators commonly select 49- to 61-seat interiors, although more spacious executive layouts are available. Its 12.4-litre six-cylinder diesel engine delivers strong performance for motorway and touring work, while reclining seats, generous luggage storage and optional wheelchair access allow considerable versatility. Digital camera mirrors, modern safety systems and a redesigned cockpit further strengthen its appeal. New Tourliners continue to be delivered to British operators, including Maynes Coaches in 2026.
