Irizar Buses & Coaches

Irizar i4 Integral
The i4 is Irizar's most practical high-capacity coach, designed for school contracts, interurban services, rail replacement and general private hire. Its relatively straightforward interior allows operators to maximise seating without sacrificing the substantial luggage accommodation and comfort expected of a modern coach. The latest lightweight version uses a DAF diesel engine and ZF automatic transmission, with a redesigned structure helping reduce weight and fuel consumption. British operators can specify conventional 2+2 seating or higher-capacity 3+2 school layouts, with as many as 80 seats offered in selected specifications. PSVAR-compatible wheelchair access makes the i4 particularly versatile for operators working across different passenger contracts.

Digital camera mirrors are available in place of conventional exterior mirrors, further reducing aerodynamic drag. British operators can specify everything from high-capacity scheduled-service layouts to spacious luxury touring interiors, with DAF engines and ZF transmissions providing the mechanical foundations. Irizar ie bus
The ie bus is Irizar's purpose-built battery-electric city bus, developed independently of its diesel touring-coach platforms. Its low-floor body, wide entrances and flexible passenger accommodation make it suitable for intensive urban and regional services, while different lengths allow operators to match the vehicle to route requirements. The range extends from compact rigid buses to larger articulated versions, with configurable lithium-ion batteries and depot or pantograph charging systems. Irizar develops much of the electric drivetrain and energy-management technology within its own group, helping integrate the vehicle with its charging infrastructure. The ie bus is listed by Irizar UK and provides a zero-tailpipe-emission alternative to conventional urban single-deckers.

Irizar ie tram
The ie tram is one of the most distinctive electric buses available to British operators, combining the appearance of a modern tram with the flexibility of a conventional road vehicle. Its streamlined body, large windows and low-floor interior are designed to make urban travel more appealing, while wide passenger entrances reduce boarding times on busy routes. Twenty right-hand-drive, 12-metre examples entered service with Go-Ahead London on route 358, using rapid pantograph charging at route termini to support long daily operating schedules. The wider ie tram family also includes articulated versions for higher-capacity services. Unlike a conventional tram, the ie tram requires no rails, allowing operators to introduce tram-style transport on existing roads.

Important Information
Prices, specifications, dimensions, seating capacities, weights, power outputs and equipment are based primarily on information published by vehicle manufacturers, their official UK representatives and established suppliers. Specifications can vary by body length, chassis, drivetrain, configuration, model year and individual vehicle. Irizar Integral coaches are manufactured using Irizar's own vehicle architecture, while other Irizar-bodied vehicles may use third-party chassis.
Prices shown are UK prices where available and are intended as a guide. Where an official UK list price is unavailable, pricing is shown as POA. Prices can vary substantially according to operator requirements, fleet contract size, optional equipment, accessibility provisions and specialist interiors.
Passenger seating capacities must not be confused with total passenger capacities. Electric urban buses may accommodate additional standing passengers, while wheelchair spaces, seating arrangements and equipment affect approved capacities. School seating arrangements, including 3+2 configurations, should not be assumed to provide the same level of passenger space or comfort as conventional touring layouts.
Licence categories shown are a general guide only. Individual driving entitlement can vary according to passenger-seat count, vehicle weight, vehicle length, licence issue date, grandfather rights, Section 19 operation and other exemptions. Passenger-seat counts used for licence purposes exclude the driver. Always check the vehicle's plated specification and your own driving-licence entitlement before driving.
Electric vehicle battery capacities, charging performance and driving ranges vary by model generation and operator specification. Published running times and charging figures are manufacturer claims under stated conditions and should not be directly compared with passenger-car WLTP figures. Actual electric performance depends on battery capacity, passenger load, temperature, route characteristics and charging infrastructure.
Specifications are checked against the latest information reasonably available to The New Yardstick at the time of publication or update. Manufacturers may alter specifications, pricing or model availability without notice. Individual versions advertised internationally may not be offered in the same specification or body length in Britain.
