Gordon Murray Automotive Guide
Gordon Murray Automotive is a British specialist built around the designer’s experience in Formula One and the McLaren F1. Its road cars favour low weight, naturally aspirated V12 engines and manual gearboxes, with production deliberately limited and specification handled closely with customers.
The T.50 established the formula; the T.33 family and Special Vehicles projects explore different layouts and characters. These are collector-level purchases rather than conventional dealer-stock cars.
The manufacturer says all current allocations are fully reserved. The entries therefore distinguish delivered cars from announced programmes, and avoid treating a global unveiling as proof of a UK customer introduction.
Current Models
T.50 (24-)![]() | RRP From: c. £2,850,000 |
The T.50 puts its driver in the middle, with two passengers slightly behind, and builds the experience around a manual gearbox and a wonderfully responsive V12. Its rear fan is the visual talking point, but compact proportions and careful packaging matter just as much. This is a collector’s car for someone who values the act of driving over screen-based spectacle.
T.33 (26-)![]() | RRP From: c. £1,650,000 |
The T.33 applies Gordon Murray’s lightweight approach to a more conventional two-seat layout. Its clean shape, manual gearbox and naturally aspirated V12 promise plenty of involvement without the T.50’s central driving position. Useful luggage compartments make the idea of a proper road trip less fanciful. It is aimed at buyers who want an exceptional driving car with relatively understated looks.
S1 (26-)![]() | RRP From: N/A |
The S1 brings a more touring-oriented character to Gordon Murray’s three-seat special-vehicle family. It keeps the central driving position and manual V12 formula, while placing greater emphasis on comfort and road use. The cleaner bodywork gives it a quieter visual presence than the S1 LM. It is conceived for owners who want the journey to matter as much as the destination.
S1 LM (26-)![]() | RRP From: N/A |
The S1 LM turns Gordon Murray’s Le Mans heritage into an especially rare road-car commission. Its more assertive bodywork and race-inspired character give it a different emphasis from the touring-minded S1. The attraction is the combination of a central driving position, a manual V12 and a very personal specification. This is collector territory, with access governed by allocations rather than showroom stock.
