Farizon Van Guide

Farizon is one of the newest names in the British commercial vehicle market, specialising in electric vans developed from the outset without conventional petrol or diesel engines. Established in 2016 as the commercial vehicle division of China's Geely Holding Group, the brand combines modern electric vehicle technology with practical designs intended for demanding business use.

Farizon entered the UK market in 2025 with the spacious SV, followed by the smaller V7E in 2026. Both offer generous cargo capacity for their exterior dimensions, alongside substantial payloads, rapid charging and advanced safety equipment. With competitive prices and a growing British dealer network, Farizon is becoming an increasingly interesting alternative to established European commercial vehicle manufacturers.

The Farizon V7E arrived in the UK in 2026 as the manufacturer's second commercial vehicle, offering a smaller and more affordable alternative to the SV. Despite measuring just under five metres in length, it provides an impressive 6.95 cubic metres of cargo space, matching the smallest SV while using a considerably narrower body.

Developed around a dedicated electric platform, the V7E makes particularly efficient use of its available dimensions. A relatively short bonnet, forward-positioned passenger compartment and low cargo floor provide a useful 2730mm load length, while the 1251mm between the wheel arches accommodates a standard Euro pallet.

Two lithium iron phosphate battery options are available. The entry-level 50kWh version offers 149 miles of WLTP combined range, while the larger 67kWh battery increases this to 204 miles. Both use an electric motor rated at 148bhp and 230Nm of torque. Payload capacity is one of the V7E's biggest strengths, the lighter 50kWh model can carry up to 1338kg, while the 67kWh version still offers a substantial 1208kg.

Another unusual feature is the V7E's drive-by-wire technology, which replaces conventional mechanical steering connections with an electronically controlled system.  At £23,000 excluding VAT after the UK Government's £5000 Plug-in Van Grant, the V7E is competitively priced for an electric commercial vehicle offering nearly seven cubic metres of cargo space.

Its combination of impressive payload, compact dimensions and fast charging makes it a particularly interesting proposition for delivery companies, tradespeople and businesses covering regular urban routes.

The Farizon SV was the manufacturer's first vehicle to reach the British market, with customer deliveries beginning in 2025. Developed specifically for electric propulsion, it combines an unusually spacious load compartment with substantial carrying capacity and advanced technology, occupying a position somewhere between conventional medium-sized and large commercial vans.

Cargo capacity stretches from 6.95 to 13 cubic metres, with the longest version providing a 3695mm load floor. One of the most distinctive aspects of the SV is its unusual front-end construction. Farizon has eliminated the conventional B-pillar on the passenger side, creating an exceptionally wide opening when the front passenger door and sliding side door are opened together. This provides easier access to the cabin and load compartment, particularly in restricted loading areas.

Three battery capacities are available: 67kWh, 83kWh and 106kWh. Depending on battery size and body configuration, official WLTP range reaches up to 247 miles. Rapid charging from 20 to 80% can take approximately 36 minutes on selected versions, making the SV suitable for longer working days with appropriate charging infrastructure.

Payload capacity is another major strength. The lightest L1H1 versions can carry up to 1350kg, while even the larger models retain useful carrying capacity despite their sizeable batteries. A maximum braked towing capacity of 2000kg is also available, making the SV considerably more versatile than some smaller electric competitors.

For 2026, Farizon introduced a more affordable Core specification, reducing the starting price to £39,000 excluding VAT before the government grant. Although Farizon is a relatively unfamiliar name in Britain, its parent company Geely has considerable experience developing modern electric vehicles. Its unusually spacious body, substantial payload and competitive electric range nevertheless make it one of the most interesting new commercial vehicles to enter the British market in recent years.
