Denza Guide
Founded in 2010 as a joint venture between BYD and Daimler, Denza has developed into BYD's premium automotive brand, combining distinctive design with advanced electric and plug-in hybrid technology.
Arriving in Britain in 2026, its unusually diverse range includes the rugged BAO 5 off-roader, luxurious seven-seat D9, high-performance Z9 GT shooting brake and extraordinary Z electric supercar.
Each introduces technology designed to challenge established premium manufacturers, from sophisticated suspension and independent rear-wheel steering to extremely rapid battery charging. With prices stretching from around £70,000 to more than £170,000, Denza is positioning itself well above the mainstream BYD range.

Important Information Specifications, dimensions and prices were checked against the latest available official UK manufacturer information at the time of publication or update. Recommended retail prices are official announced UK starting prices and exclude dealer discounts, manufacturer incentives and optional equipment unless otherwise stated. Pre-registered and used prices are marked TBC where a reliable comparable British market price could not be established. Some Denza models have published UK prices and open order books but have not yet commenced customer deliveries. The availability of individual trims, powertrains and specifications should be confirmed with Denza before purchase. Dimensions, luggage capacities and quoted performance figures vary by specification. Where multiple measurements are shown, these refer to different body styles or powertrains. Boot capacities are manufacturer figures measured under stated conditions and may not be directly comparable across models. Electric driving ranges are manufacturer WLTP claims and will vary according to vehicle specification, temperature, speed, driving conditions and battery use. Plug-in hybrid electric ranges assume the battery is charged. Combined petrol-electric ranges should not be compared directly with battery-electric driving ranges. FLASH Charging figures require compatible high-power charging infrastructure and favourable battery conditions. The availability of suitably powerful charging stations in Britain may be limited, and real-world charging performance may be substantially lower.
