Corvette Guide

Corvette is Chevrolet’s long-running American sports-car name, dating back to 1953. The current C8 generation moved the engine behind the occupants and introduced factory right-hand drive, making it a more natural proposition for British buyers.

Chevrolet now offers the Stingray, hybrid E-Ray and higher-revving Z06 through an authorised UK retail network. Each is available in Coupé or Convertible form, and all retain a distinctly American character despite competing with established European sports cars.

The Stingray is the starting point for the current Corvette, combining a mid-engined layout with an unmistakably American V8 character. The removable-roof Coupé and folding-hardtop Convertible both bring plenty of theatre. Factory right-hand drive makes it more approachable for UK buyers than older imports. It is a distinctive alternative to the familiar European sports-car choices.

E-Ray

RRP From: £158,720
Pre Reg From: N/A
Used Price From: c. £125,000

Powertrains: Hybrid

The E-Ray adds an electrically driven front axle to the Corvette formula, giving it all-wheel drive and a different emphasis from the track-focused Z06. It remains a dramatic two-seat sports car rather than an economy-led hybrid. Coupé and Convertible versions are offered. Buyers wanting a fast, unusual touring car with extra traction should find it particularly interesting.

Z06 (25-)
Z06

RRP From: £182,920
Pre Reg From: N/A
Used Price From: c. £130,000

Powertrains: Petrol

The Z06 is the more intense Corvette, with a high-revving V8 and a stronger emphasis on circuit driving. Its wider body gives it considerable road presence, but UK buyers can now choose factory right-hand drive. Coupé and Convertible versions share the central appeal. It is for enthusiasts drawn to the engine and driving experience rather than understated grand touring.
