Aion Guide
Aion is the electric-car brand of Guangzhou-based GAC Group, one of China’s major vehicle manufacturers. Established in 2017, it has grown rapidly in its home market before arriving in the UK in 2026.
The AION V is its first British model, bringing a spacious electric family SUV into one of the most competitive parts of the market, with a smaller hatchback set to follow. Aion’s focus is on combining generous equipment, practical interiors and electric technology at mainstream prices, giving GAC a clear route into the growing UK market.

The AION V takes a straightforward approach to the family electric SUV: a roomy cabin, generous equipment and an emphasis on comfort. Its upright shape should appeal to buyers who value everyday usability over a fashionable roofline, while a 500-litre boot gives it useful family practicality. Competitive pricing places it firmly among established mainstream electric SUVs, rather than attempting to push Aion into the premium end of the market.
